VTB has temporarily banned the travel of staff in a number of Asian countries due to coronavirus

Moscow, 31 Jan – “News.Economy.” VTB since January 31, has temporarily banned the travel of staff in a number of Asian countries due to a new coronavirus in China. In particular, it suspended trips to China (including Hong Kong), Vietnam, Cambodia, Malaysia, Thailand, Taiwan, Singapore and Sri Lanka.

VTB has advised employees to refrain from private trips to these countries. The Bank develops prevention recommendations for employees, especially in the regions bordering with China, reports “Interfax”.

In December, 2019 in the Chinese city of Wuhan (Hubei province) there is an outbreak of pneumonia. The cause of the disease was a previously unknown form of coronavirus. Just since December, China recorded 7711 cases of pneumonia, died 170.
