Chairman of the state Duma Vyacheslav Volodin in the plenary session, urged colleagues to observe all safety precautions in connection with the pandemic coronavirus.
“Colleagues, we do everything to ensure that we could retain the functionality of the State Duma, so once again I draw your attention to the fact that a lot depends on us,” he said.
According to him, the meetings complied with the required distance between the participants.
“We agreed that there were observed limitations. You see, there are restrictions on the distance between Alexander Dmitriyevich Zhukov and Peter O. Thick”, — said Volodin.
He suggested that the Minister of health of Michael Murashko to speak from the podium without a medical mask, as the grandstand is located at a remote distance from the other participants.
“For ease of operation will make an exception for the host and speaker on the podium, because either “BU-BU-BU” turn (speech), or these masks will have to be changed constantly. I don’t think here it will cause a threat at that distance, which all consider the sanitary norm. We will enter on the time of the pandemic the tradition that speakers can be without a mask,” said the speaker.
Earlier it was reported that five deputies of the state Duma fell ill with middle East respiratory syndrome.
