Louis van Gaal has been appointed head coach of the Netherlands national football team. This is the third time he has held this post — he previously led the team in 2000-2001 and 2012-2014. During his coaching career, he worked with Ajax (1988-1997), Barcelona (1997-2000, 2002-2003), AZ (2005-2009), Bayern Munich (2009-2011) and Manchester United (2014-2016).
