Uzbekistan is Russia sent a plane with humanitarian aid

In Russia there has arrived the first batch of humanitarian aid from Uzbekistan. The Central Asian Republic, basic cotton, sent a plane with medical masks and gauze. The freighter arrived in Sheremetyevo airport, reports TASS.

The cargo was met by representatives of the Embassy of Uzbekistan and the Ministry of economic development.

Only Russia will be handed over 5 million masks, medical gauze. Products will be directed to those “who are working at the forefront of the fight against the pandemic”.

“We know that the people of Uzbekistan itself is suffering from a coronavirus infection. In the country there are infected, and dead. But despite this, Uzbekistan made a decision to share with Russia the most necessary, demonstrating reciprocity, examples of which are in our common history”, – said the Deputy Chairman of the government of the Russian Federation Alexey Overchuk.

Earlier, the “Rambler” reported that the head of the Russian peace Foundation Leonid Slutsky said the dispatch of humanitarian aid to citizens of Russia, Italy, Iran and Serbia.
