UN staff infected with coronavirus

A total of 14 UN staff in Geneva was infected with the novel coronavirus that causes the disease COVID-19. This was stated on Monday by the official representative of the Geneva headquarters of the world organization of Alessandra Vellucci.

"as of April 20, a total of 14 employees of the Secretariat in Geneva have a positive test result COVID-19," she said.

Two cases were registered among the staff of the United Nations Conference on trade and development, UN Programme on the environment and Management of the UN high Commissioner for human rights.
