UN delivered in Venezuela the first humanitarian aid

the United Nations brought to Venezuela 90 tons of aid to combat coronavirus infection. The aircraft was delivered to the Republic of personal protective equipment, oxygen concentrators, baby bed, tools, water quality control, hygiene kits.

According to the UN coordinator for humanitarian Affairs in Venezuela Peter Grohmann, this is the first part of the aid from international organizations.

Earlier, UN Secretary-General, antónio Guterres, called on world leaders in terms of the epidemic to mitigate the sanctions pressure on a number of countries. “I call to lift the sanctions on countries that they have access to food, medical products, they need to support in the fight against COVID-19. It is time of solidarity, not exclusion,” said UN Secretary-General.
