The epidemiological situation in 11 regions of Ukraine is tense, regional health physicians has filed the submission about the tightening of quarantine measures. This was stated by the Minister of health, Maxim Stepanov, “Interfax-Ukraine”.
According to him, the country continues to be in the conditions of adaptive quarantine, when restrictive measures depending on the epidemiological situation in a particular region.
“currently, the most tense situation is observed in the Western regions, in particular, in the Volyn, Transcarpathian, Lviv and Rivne regions”, — said Stepanov.
30 June the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky called the rate of spread of the coronavirus in the country’s rapid and urged to prepare for the second wave of the pandemic. In some regions of patients with COVID-19 occupied up to 70 percent of hospital beds. “Still I hope that we will be able to bypass the worst scenario. But the medicine needs to be ready for anything,” warned Zelensky.
According to recent data, in Ukraine, the coronavirus has infected 46 763 people, including 1 212 died, more than 20 thousands of patients recovered.
