Ukraine has demanded to remove from the title of the presidential party

In the District administrative court of Kyiv filed a lawsuit concerning the parties “servant of the people”. The author of the claim demanded to ban the word “servant” in the title, because it considers it “anti-social and Communist”.

“the claimant asks to oblige the Ministry of justice of Ukraine to take individual legal action against the political forces that restrict and prohibit the use of (…) the word “servant” – quoted TASS the press service of the court.

“servant of the people” – the party of President Vladimir Zelensky. In the result of parliamentary elections, held in July 2019, the party won 254 seats in Parliament out of 450.

Ukraine has a law on de-communization. It involves the renaming of towns and streets, demolition of monuments and memorials to fallen Soviet soldiers. He also bans “Communist symbols” from the red banner to the ribbons.
