Vice Prime Minister on the issues of European and Euro-Atlantic integration of Ukraine Vadim pristayko said about the readiness to develop a joint NATO measures for the protection of the black sea region and combating coronavirus. About it writes “Interfax-Ukraine”.
“Ukraine and NATO should develop a strategy of containment of Russia in the black sea region in the information, economic, legal, and militarily. In addition, Ukraine would like to see a greater presence of the naval forces of the USA and NATO in the Black sea”, — stated in the message the press service.
“Ukraine is ready to join international efforts to develop universal measures for the civilian, military and economic spheres with the aim of overcoming the consequences of the pandemic and mitigate the economic results of the quarantine,” he said.
“everybody is concerned about the proliferation in media of various conspiracy theories aimed to weaken the ability of NATO and the EU together to respond to the crisis caused by the pandemic coronavirus,” explained Pristayko.
Earlier it was reported that NATO will hold joint exercises with Ukraine on the protection of infrastructure in the black sea region in Odessa. They will be attended by more than 200 specialists. Exercises “Indestructible sustainability 2020” will be held from 5 to 9 October 2020.
