Ukraine has banned flights, trains, buses and the subway due to coronavirus

the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine adopted a decision on termination from 13.00 GMT on March 18, bus, air and railway communications and metro working to prevent the spread of coronavirus, said Monday the Minister of infrastructure Vladislav Crickley. According to the decision, the city traffic can be carried by up to ten people in taxis, trolleybuses, buses, trams. The residents can use personal machines without restrictions. The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine introduced from 12 March to 3 April, the quarantine in all schools and banned public events.

in addition, the President of Ukraine Vladimir Zelensky in the course of the meeting, dedicated to the fight against coronavirus, asked major Ukrainian businessmen to allocate state 12-13 billion hryvnia (about $450-500 million). He said this on air of the program “Freedom of speech” on ICTV channel.

“I spoke to them very frankly. I said that this country feeds you a long time. It’s time for you to help the country. We are doing a separate Fund. We need somewhere 12-13 billion. We need their help,” he said.

the meeting of the President with representatives of large business took place on Monday evening. For her it was about helping with procurement and supply large quantities of tests for coronavirus, necessary medical equipment, protective and disinfectants. Businessmen, according to the press service of the office Zelensky, agreed with the President’s proposals and promised to extend all necessary assistance to the state.

the President also noted that the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine at the meeting on Tuesday will introduce a state of emergency in Chernivtsi, and Zhytomyr regions where cases of infection with a new type of coronavirus. If necessary, a state of emergency will be introduced throughout the country.

According to the latest data of the Ministry of health, Ukraine confirmed seven cases of infection with coronavirus. The case of death as a result of the novel coronavirus was recorded on March 13.

At a special meeting the government on March 14 ordered to temporarily restrict the entry of citizens of other countries and to suspend air traffic in the background of the situation with coronavirus in the world. On Tuesday Ukraine will limit air travel. Since Monday is closed all borders to foreigners for two weeks.
