In the law of the self-proclaimed Donetsk people’s Republic as amended, enshrining the status of the Russian ruble as the monetary unit of the DNI. About it reports a press-service of the National Council (Parliament) of the Republic. The document was adopted on Tuesday at a plenary meeting of the Council.
"the Draft law is aimed at ensuring the unity of the legal norms of the Law the DNR "On the tax system" with the provisions of the current legislation of the Donetsk people’s Republic, regulating the payment of the fee for the transit, sale, export of certain types of goods in Russian rubles, as well as the specifics of legal relations in the sphere of the monetary unit of the DPR", – said the author of the document, the Chairman of the Committee on budget, Finance and economic policy Marina Janova.
The law also provides for the establishment of the fixed rate of the fee for the transit, sale and export of certain types of goods in Russian rubles, previously due to the Ukrainian hryvnia.
According to the document, the Ukrainian hryvnia is excluded from the list of lawful means of payment which are fixed and shall be paid the appropriate taxes and fees.
According to Ganaway, the adoption of these changes will be consistent with the chosen foreign policy course of our state, aiming at the harmonization of the legislation of the DNI with the legislation of the Russian Federation.
The law was adopted in two readings and sent for signature to the head of the DNI.
