Election winner Daniel Günther would have liked to govern again with the FDP and the Greens. But nothing will come of it. As the Prime Minister announced, talks about a new edition have failed.

After a joint exploratory talk between the CDU, Greens and FDP, a new edition of the Jamaica coalition in Schleswig-Holstein is off the table. He very much regrets this, said Prime Minister Daniel Günther (CDU) on Thursday evening in Kiel.

Günther would have liked to have continued to govern with both partners – although this is mathematically not necessary. Günther’s CDU won 43.4 percent of the vote in the election two weeks ago. The Greens came to 18.3 percent, the FDP to 6.4.

How things will continue in the north is still unclear.
