Millions of turks get with short notice and told to stay home all weekend in order to prevent coronasmitte.

Turkey to adopt a 48-hour curfew on the weekends. It applies to the country’s major cities, including the capital Ankara and the megapolis of Istanbul. A total of 31 cities affected by the ban.

the Curfew will come into force at midnight on Friday and lasts until midnight Sunday. It is a part of new measures to curb the spread of infection of the coronavirus.

It shall notify the Turkish ministry of interior on Friday night.

Earlier on Friday announced the health authorities in Turkey that the number of deaths among persons infected with the coronavirus now stands at 1006.

According to a statement from the u.s. Johns Hopkins University, which follows the corona-the development of the whole world, Turkey has just over 47.000 confirmed cases of coronasmitte.

the Head of the Turkish medical association has on Friday warned that the country’s largest city, Istanbul, may soon run out of beds in hospital intensive care units.
