Turkey has shot down two Syrian aircraft over Idlib

the Turkish military shot down two air force of Syria in Idlib province, reports RIA “Novosti”. The pilots safely ejected.

“At 13.25 today, during a combat mission against the terrorist groups in the region of Idlib was shot down two aircraft by Turkish fighter jets in Syrian airspace,” said the Syrian command.

the command of the army of ATS had earlier announced the closure of airspace over the province of Idlib.

According to the defense Ministry of Turkey, Turkish troops also destroyed three air defence (PVO) of the Syrian army, including one which earlier on Sunday were shot down by Turkish unmanned aerial vehicle near the city of Sarakibe.

Earlier it was reported that units of the Syrian army shot down a drone of Turkish origin, used for their anti-Turkish fighters of the free Syrian army (FSA).

February 29, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said that he had asked Russian President Vladimir Putin to leave the Turkey alone with the Syrian authorities.

Before that, the two leaders held a telephone conversation during which they agreed to meet to discuss the situation in the Syrian Idlib, which escalated at the end of January.
