Turkey appreciates cooperation with Russia in the sphere of cargo transportation by road and have not introduced specific restrictions against Russian carriers. This was reported on Tuesday TASS diplomatic source in Ankara.

"Turkey, like all other countries, is making efforts to minimize disruptions in the supply process, due to the outbreak of coronavirus. In this regard, we attach great importance to the continuity of our traditional cooperation with Russia, our major commercial partner, as well as continued transport of goods by road through Russia to Central Asia. The introduction by Turkey of certain restrictions in respect of the Russian automobile transport companies out of the question", – said the Agency interlocutor.

Russia has threatened Turkish measures carriers

On the eve of the Ministry of transport of the Russian Federation said that Moscow may impose restrictions for Turkish carriers when entering the country from may 11, if Ankara during the day, will not remove a similar restriction in relation to Russian carriers.

"These changes usually are a further step towards normalization of our intensive trade cooperation with Russia in the sphere of automobile transportation," he added.

It is expected that consultations on this subject will be continued by representatives of the Ministry of transport and Ministry of transport and infrastructure of Turkey.

The Association of international road carriers reported earlier that the Turkish authorities imposed a number of restrictions on the entry of foreign road carriers. In particular, we are talking about the fact that after April 27, drivers were allowed entry only after signing the obligation to leave the territory of Turkey within 72 hours. The Association explained that this term is extremely small for unloading, loading and customs clearance.
