Vice-speaker of the state Duma and the parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE) Peter Tolstoy linked the Swedish parliamentarians to strengthen the anti-Russian sanctions are ineffective in combating the epidemic of coronavirus, according to news Agency “national news service”.

“it seems to Me that Sweden is now a very difficult situation. To distract people from their own failures in the fight against the disease, decided once again to talk about the anti-Russian sanctions. Further conversations this thing will not go”, – said the Deputy.

Tolstoy believes that there will always be politicians and countries that will try in some way to harm Russia. “We need to treat this calmly, without fuss. I think the next moves will remain demarches” he said.

Earlier, the Swedish MPs called for a resumption of anti-Russian sanctions in the framework of the parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE). According to them, the return of Moscow to the Council of Europe means the abolition of anti-Russian sanctions.

Tolstoy expressed the hope that PACE are still sensible people that this idea will not support.
