for the past month in the nationwide campaign #Myvote working area “support physicians” – volunteers support those on the frontline of the fight against coronavirus infection.

– Our volunteers not only medical students, but also people, most of whom are not connected with medicine. However, in such a difficult time everyone’s help is very important to tell the story in the St. Petersburg community “Volontery-medics.” – Today in City hospital №20 and in St. George’s volunteers perform various jobs depending on their capabilities, knowledge and workload. They come in shifts of six or twelve hours a few times a week or every day depending on their capabilities. Volunteers with a medical background help in the hospital as nurses and other medical staff in the “red” zone. They are involved with patient care, transportation, feeding, performing hygiene measures, formulation of injections, carrying out the thermometry, pressure measurement, pulse rate, collection and transportation of the samples. Volunteers with no medical training working in a clean area. They are engaged in the disinfection of ambulances, the distribution of means of individual protection of medical staff, statistical data processing, delivery of analyses and their results. Direct contact with patients they do not have in order to ensure security. All volunteers are guaranteed the personal protection, they also undergo safety training in hospitals with coronavirus infection. In conditions of overload of hospitals and shortage of staff the contribution of each volunteer in the fight against the pandemic is invaluable.

the Number of people wishing to join the project #Myvote continues to grow. According to the Center for volunteers in the last week the ranks of volunteers added hundreds of Petersburgers, is ready to help the elderly to deliver food and medicine.
