The Pentagon has decided not to comment on the case against the us soldier accused of passing classified information to a Russian citizen.

“We do not comment on impending or ongoing litigation,” said TASS in the press service of the Ministry.

Earlier media reports citing court records, reported that the officer of naval forces of the United States Charles Briggs was charged with passing secret information to Russia.

According to this information, Briggs allegedly gave the data for national defence some Russian citizen. The officer also hid the fact of communication with the Russians and a trip to Serbia while on holiday in 2018. The documents do not specify what information could be transferred to the military, and how he met the Russian.
