The unemployment rate in 8 regions of Russia exceeded 10%

In Russia as a whole, the unemployment rate was 4.6%, and in eight regions the indicator has exceeded 10%.

the highest unemployment rate among the regions is noted in Ingushetia (26.3 per cent), North Ossetia (13,6%), Dagestan and Chechen Republic (13,5%).

In the Central Federal district the highest level of unemployment was registered in the Orel region (5,7%), the lowest — in Moscow.

In the North West district, the highest unemployment was noted in the Nenets Autonomous district (8%), and lowest in St. Petersburg.

In the southern Federal district the highest level of unemployment was registered in Kalmykia (8,6%), the lowest — in Sevastopol (3.6 percent).

In the Volga Federal district unemployment is higher only in the Perm region (5,3%), less in Tatarstan Republic (3,2%), in the Ural district in the Kurgan region (8.7%) and Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous district (1.8 percent), respectively, in the Siberian district in the Altai Republic (12.9%) and Krasnoyarsk region (4,2%), respectively.

In the far East region has the highest unemployment rate recorded in Buryatia Republic (9,4%), the lowest — in the Khabarovsk territory (3.5 per cent), the North Caucasus Federal district in Ingushetia, and Stavropol region (4.6 per cent), respectively.

In January, the bodies of service of employment as unemployed consisted of 700 thousand people, which is 1.2% more than in December 2019, and 4.6% less than in January 2019.

the Proportion of women among unemployed persons aged 15 years and over was in January of 47.4%, the proportion of urban residents — 68,2%, the proportion of young people under the age of 25 years is 18.5%, the proportion of people with no experience of work, with 21.2%.

the unemployment rate among rural residents (6.5%) is higher than the unemployment rate among urbanx residents (4.1 percent).
