In the Olympic Committee of the USA (USOPC) continue the reform caused one of the biggest sporting scandals in recent years — with the former doctor of women’s national team in gymnastics Larry Nassar. At the head of the American sports structure established a new position of head of the Committee for ethics and compliance, taken by Holly Schick, a former assistant attorney General of the United States. Under its control will be the body that considers complaints from athletes. The priority at the moment is to address issues relating to possible cases of violence against athletes.The National Olympic Committee of the USA established a new post — head of the Committee on ethics and compliance, which appointed former assistant attorney General Holly Chic. Its purpose should enhance oversight of agencies involved in consideration of complaints from athletes. To create a new position in USOPC had in December 2019 this recommendation gave the Olympic Committee the United States specially established by the Commission after the scandal involving a former doctor of the women’s team gymnastics Larry Nassar, undermined the reputation of the structure.In the Wake of the scandal has been a change in the leadership of the National Olympic Committee. In 2018 the resignation of Scott Blackmun, who served for eight years as Director General of the organization, and athletic Director Alan Ashley. After the sentencing, Larry Nassar became known that Blackmun and Ashley was aware of the unacceptable behavior of the doctor in 2015. However, both chose to hide this information, resulting Nassar continued to work with athletes in the whole year and, accordingly, had the opportunity to commit against girls violence.Place Scott Blackmun took Sarah Hirshland, thus becoming the first woman in the post of Executive Director of the Olympic Committee of the USA.
