Croatia and Malta had declared its readiness to accept tourists from Russia in August, reports “Vestnik ATOR”, citing a source in one of the European diplomatic missions.

According to him, the state was the only one who told about the plans to soon open the border for Russian citizens. The rest of the country decided to refrain from taking tourists due to the continuing high statistics of new detected cases COVID-19 in the Russian Federation.
