The state Duma will discuss the deprivation of liberty for a term up to 7 years for violating quarantine

to Toughen the criminal punishment for violation of sanitary-epidemiological norms proposed by the Chairman of the state Duma Vyacheslav Volodin and the head of the state Duma Committee on state construction and legislation Pavel Krasheninnikov. As reported in the state Duma, talking about the violation of the rules, entailed on imprudence mass disease or a poisoning of people. For it is proposed to introduce a fine of 500 thousand rubles to 1 million rubles or the salary or other income during the period from 3 to 5 years. Could also be a ban to occupy certain positions or engage in certain activities from 1 year to 3 years. Alternative punishment – restriction of liberty for a term up to 3 years.

For violation of sanitary and epidemiological rules, entailed on imprudence death of the person, or paired with the deliberate endangering of mass diseases, it is proposed to punish by a fine of up to 2 million rubles or the salary or other income in the period from 4 to 5 years, or by prohibition to hold certain posts or practice certain activities for 3 to 5 years, or restraint of liberty for a term up to 5 years.

But if the death of two and more persons, it is proposed that deprivation of liberty for a term up to 7 years.

According to the results of consideration of amendments on the Council of the state Duma it is planned that they will be submitted to the plenary session on March 31.

Vyacheslav Volodin held a meeting on the preparation of these amendments with the participation of Pavel Krasheninnikov and experts of the legal Department of the state Duma.
