The people of Russia on Friday will be able to watch as Venus on the half hour is completely hidden behind the Moon. Astronomers call this phenomenon "shows two sickles," says the press service of the Moscow planetarium.
The moon will cover Venus June 19 in the afternoon, it will be seen practically in all territory of Russia, except for the South European territory of the country and the South-Eastern part of the Far East. Observers need to look toward the southern horizon, to the right (West) from the Sun. A small sickle of Venus on the half hour "hide" behind the disk of the moon.
"Time coverage should be calculated for each particular scene. In Moscow, for example, aging the Crescent moon will close to Venus at 11:42 (local time). Through four minutes, at 11:47, Venus is fully closed the disc of the moon, it will not be visible approximately 35 minutes" – says the press service of the planetarium.
At 12:22 Venus will begin to leave the disc of the moon, an unusual Eclipse will be fully completed in four minutes. Thus since the 22 of June until the end of summer, Venus will be visible in the sky only in the morning.
