Annual paid holiday may provide for the passage of a clinical examination of individuals older than forty years. At one of the next plenary meetings in the state Duma plan to consider the bill in the third reading.

The right to exemption from work for one day every year, citizens can obtain with the preservation of their place of work (position) and average earnings. Thus workers will have to provide an employer reference, confirming passage by them of physical examination on the day of exemption from work, if it is provided by the local normative act or a collective agreement of the organization.

According to current regulations, employees have the right every three years to take a paid holiday to undergo medical examination. And working pensioners and persons of pre-retirement age can annually be exempted from work for these purposes for two days. The proposed annual release by one day for passing of medical examination to employees aged 40 years and older will allow the citizens to undergo a medical examination more often, without losing the salary. “Today, employers do not always meet their employees to those in a timely manner could get to the doctor, people are forced to take time off for your account and lose in the salary. As a result, many simply refuse inspection. However, regular annual medical exams — the key to identifying at an early stage of chronic or even deadly diseases”, — said the speaker of the state Duma Vyacheslav Volodin in the consideration of the bill in the second reading. The law, he said, will help preserve health and increase life expectancy of our citizens.
