Citizens of Russia against the inflow of labor migrants into the country. This is evidenced by the results of the survey service “Avito Work”.

Some time ago, as reported by “the Rambler”, the President of Russia Vladimir Putin said that labor shortages could become a serious impediment to economic development of the country, in connection with which Russia needs an inflow of labor migrants.

In this regard, “Avito Work” conducted a survey about the attitude of Russians to labor migration. It was attended by 10 thousand adult citizens of the country from all regions. According to the survey, 46% of them believe that the inflow of labour migrants does not need Russia for economic development.

35% of respondents believe that migrant workers increase competition for jobs. 24% of respondents expressed full readiness to work on those jobs that are traditionally occupied by migrant workers (trade, manufacturing, agriculture, construction sites, hospitality and services, and so on)

23% of Russians believed that Russia was less of migrants in pandemic coronavirus infection COVID-19, and 49% that are neutral to the fact that because of the pandemic, migrant workers can not enter the territory of Russia.
