the EU decided not to open the border with Russia until the end of August in connection with the pandemic COVID-19. This was announced by the counselor of the Embassy of the Netherlands in Moscow the Timna Kouwenaar.
According to Kouwenaar in the near future entry to the EU for Russian citizens will be impossible. The diplomat did not specify the timing of when the Russians will be able to visit the countries of the Eurozone.
“as for Russia, due to the high incidence it’s impossible to say that this country in the short term may move to a different list” – reported Kouwenaar RBC.
According to him, in connection with the beginning of the summer season in the European Union it was decided before the end of August to open its borders to new countries. In addition, European authorities are increasingly considering again close the border to some States for which she opened July 1.
Earlier it was reported that the EU will not include Russia in the “white list” of countries on the basis of its review, which is scheduled in mid-August.
