The prototype ship Starship SN4 of the company SpaceX Elon musk exploded on tests in the village of Boca Chica, Texas, USA.
The official cause of the explosion is unknown. However, there are suggestions that the ship could explode because of a fuel leak. During testing, the tested methane Raptor engine, reports wivb.com.
It is noted that this is the fourth prototype of the ship of the company Ilona Mask, which has not passed the test. Two prototypes had burst because of the pressurization of liquid nitrogen ships in 2020, and the first prototype blew up on the ground in Texas in the fall of 2019.
After successful trials, the ship will serve as a Starship for interplanetary flights.
