Director of the energy development Fund Sergey Pikin predicted the fate of the pipeline “Nord stream-2” in an interview with “Moskovsky Komsomolets”.

According to him, the gas pipeline in any case will complete, however, its entry into full operation may take a few years. He also added that we should expect new lawsuits, particularly from Poland. Pikin believes that the best solution would be the establishment of the international company, which would lay supply management in this area.

the Expert also noted that Germany is interested to finish the pipeline. He added that the decision of the German regulator, in favor of the project confirms the serious intentions of Berlin.

Earlier, Germany represented by the Federal network Agency in the country rejected the company 2 the Nord Stream AG (the operator of the construction of “Nord stream-2”) in the development of the project under the updated standards of the EU gas Directive. As a result, the operator of the pipeline must be reserved at least half of the power infrastructure under alternative suppliers that don’t exist, because “Gazprom” is a monopolist in pipeline gas supplies from Russia abroad. Now Moscow can only export of 27.5 billion cubic meters of raw materials per year instead of 55 billion. In Berlin explained that the project’s output under the Directive it had to be complete by may 2019.
