"Ministers of health acknowledged that the pandemic COVID-19 highlighted the systemic weaknesses in the health systems. The Ministers considered the need to improve global health systems through the exchange of knowledge and bridge the gap in the response capacity and readiness," the statement reads.
The participants of the meeting discussed the necessary measures to enhance pandemic preparedness, the use of digital solutions during the current and future pandemics, focusing on patient safety and the importance of adding value to health systems and address the problem of antimicrobial resistance.
