In may of 2020 in Russia, there were 11.9% more deaths than in may last year, said the head of Rosstat Pavel Malkov. According to him, not the last role in the disappointing statistics was played by the spread of coronavirus infections, reports TASS.
Malkov noted that in may of this year died 173 thousand Russians, which is almost 12% more than in the same period of the previous year. He stressed that the mortality rate increased in 55 subjects of the Russian Federation.
