the Monetary base in narrow definition includes the cash in circulation (with account of money in cash desks of credit institutions) and money on accounts of obligatory reserves on borrowed funds in national currency deposited in the Central Bank.

the Monetary base in broad definition has decreased in February by 1.2 percentage points to 17 trillion of 94.5 billion rubles.

the Volume of cash in circulation amounted to 1 Mar 10 trillion 448,1 billion rubles (+ 2% compared to January).

the Monetary base in broad definition includes cash in circulation, money in tills of credit institutions, money on accounts of obligatory reserves on borrowed funds in national and foreign currency deposited with the Central Bank, money in correspondent accounts in rubles, the ruble investments of credit organizations in Central Bank bonds and other obligations of the Central Bank on operations with credit institutions.
