Specialists of the University of Oxford and the London school of hygiene and tropical medicine analyzed data from more than 17 million Britons and identified key risk factors of death during the coronavirus. At the moment it is the largest study on the topic, giving the most complete list of factors.

Preprint cohort study published on the portal MedRxiv. Data on the health of 17.4 million people in the UK were collected from 1 February to 25 April this year. Source of steel e-statement of organizations primary care. Before becoming available to researchers, data has been anonymized.

Analysis was conducted using Cox regression model. This mathematical method allows to predict the risk of occurrence of certain events (in this case, fatal) for given object and to evaluate the influence of various factors on this risk.
