European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen commented on the presidential elections in Belarus.

On his Twitter page she wrote that the presidential elections in Belarus “were neither free nor fair”.

“State violence and the suppression of freedoms and rights is unacceptable. The EU will review relations with Belarus and to take measures against the perpetrators,” said von der Leyen.

Earlier the Belarusian foreign Ministry said that “it is absolutely unacceptable how quickly the number of European officials made the important for our country’s political statement without even trying to understand objectively and realistically assess the situation.”
