The Governor of the U.S. state of Florida Ronald De Santis mobilized National guard soldiers to maintain order amid protests over the death of an African-American George Floyd.

This was reported by press Secretary of the Governor Helen Aguirre Ferre on his Twitter page.

“Yesterday Governor De Santis activated forces of the National guard of Florida. Currently in Miramar 150 guardsmen, 150 at camp Blanding and 100 in Tampa. These specially trained units support law enforcement agencies in a number of fields,” she said.

Earlier it was reported that the authorities of the state of new York are willing to use the National guard if needed amid mass protests began in the country after the death of the African-American George Floyd.
