the Military-political situation and work in a pandemic coronavirus – these issues were discussed on Friday, July 3 during a meeting of the Military Committee of the Organization of collective security Treaty (CSTO). The sides also discussed the military cooperation plan for 2021-2025 years.

the First meeting of the Military Committee of the CSTO was held via videoconference. Theme number one: the adjustment of training plans of the forces and means of CSTO collective security for this year. According to the Chairman of the military Committee, chief of the General staff of the Russian Armed forces army General Valery Gerasimov, the plans need to be clarified because of the pandemic coronavirus COVID-19.

Another important topic: the military-political situation. Representatives of the General staffs of the armed forces of countries-members of CSTO expressed its willingness the event of a threat to present a United front.

the meeting also discussed the draft development plan of military cooperation between States parties of the CSTO in the years 2021-2025.

“the ways of the further development of aspects related to international flights of aircraft of armed forces of member States of the CSTO, the creation of the analytical center, as well as improving the structure and composition of the Collective air forces of the Organization,” said Valery Gerasimov.
