a third of the water in the Kostroma region is undrinkable. That was said by the specialists of Rospotrebnadzor. More than 30 percent of the fluid samples do not meet sanitary-chemical and hygienic requirements, said the Agency.

Over the past year the staff of the CPS held a laboratory study of more than 10.5 thousand samples of tap water from different areas of the region. In the end, it was determined that safe drinking water is provided about 71 percent of residents of the Kostroma region. However, in terms of radiation safety in the region the situation is prosperous professionals not identified in water from the tap radionuclides, reports GTRK “Kostroma”.

Just last year there were 791 violation of sanitary laws, was ordered for the sum of 2,2 million roubles, have informed in regional Management of Rospotrebnadzora.
