In new airstrikes in Ukraine, Russia says it has fired on several command posts and two ammunition depots in the Donetsk region.

In the course of the strikes, 23 units of military technology were also knocked out and up to 100 Ukrainian fighters were “destroyed,” Russian Defense Ministry spokesman Igor Konashenkov said in Moscow on Saturday. This information could not initially be verified by an independent party. The military spokesman did not comment on a possible Russian advance on Ukrainian territory.

In addition, 18 command points and 543 military positions were fired at with rockets and artillery on Saturday night, Konashenkov said. The focus of the attacks was therefore in the Donetsk region. An ammunition depot belonging to the Ukrainian armed forces in the Cherson region was also destroyed. Previously, Russia had declared that it was in control of this region in southern Ukraine. Russian air defenses also shot down a total of 13 Ukrainian drones in the eastern Kharkiv, Luhansk and Donetsk regions, Konashenkov said.
