The decision was made due to the low level isolation in the region. It is expected that through this measure the residents will have more reasons to stay home and it will reduce the spread of infection on site. This was announced by the state Governor Wellington Dias.

“From 15 to 17 may will be prohibited sale of alcoholic beverages and the movement of intercity transport,” with reference to the source RIA Novosti reported.

In the state of Piaui coronavirus has infected 1 612 people, 57 of them died from the disease. In Brazil was of 177 589 cases COVID-19, deaths and 12 400. According to the latest world health organization, worldwide there were more than 4.1 million cases of infection with coronavirus.
