The Arab coalition urged parties in Yemen to stop the escalation

MOSCOW, 27 Jun – RIA Novosti. Fighting in Yemen against the rebels of the movement “Ansar Allah” (Houthis), the Arab coalition led by Saudi Arabia urged parties in Yemen to stop the actions leading to the escalation of the conflict and to return to immediate execution of the prisoner in Riyadh, a peace agreement, said in a statement published by the Saudi Agency SPA.

the Transitional Council of South Yemen said on Sunday night about the introduction of self-government in the southern provinces of the country, they declared a state of emergency and instructed the armed forces and security forces implement it.

After the announcement of the introduction of self-government and the state of emergency in the capital of Yemen Aden Arab coalition called for the return to previous conditions to restore the rule of law.

“the Coalition demands the end of any escalation of action, and encourages the parties involved to return to the agreement, noting the immediate need to resume without delay,” reads the statement, which also underlined the need to put the interests of the Yemeni people above all else.

In November 2019 the internationally recognized government of Yemen, headed by President Abd rabbu Mansour Hadi and separatists from the Transitional Council of South Yemen was signed in Riyadh, a peace agreement to end the military confrontation. The signing took place in the presence of the crown princes of Saudi Arabia and Abu Dhabi Mohammed bin Salman and Mohamed bin Zeid, the President of Yemen. The agreement in particular provides for the transfer of seized by separatists in the South, military installations and government agencies in the hands of the government.

the Separatists created their own Transitional Council of South Yemen in may 2017. Their leader spoke dismissed shortly before President Abd rabbu Mansour Hadi, the Governor of the province of Aden Aydarus al-Zubeidi.
