Russian Ambassador to Japan Mikhail Galuzin and the Embassy staff on the occasion of the 75th anniversary of Victory laid a wreath at the tomb of the legendary Soviet spy Richard Sorge, informed the Embassy.

"Ninth of may on the occasion of the 75th anniversary of the Victory in the great Patriotic war, the Russian Ambassador to Japan Mikhail Galuzin and employees of the Embassy laid a wreath at the grave of Soviet Union hero Richard Sorge in Tokyo’s Tama cemetery. Diplomats paid tribute to the outstanding scout, who in the years in Japan has made an invaluable contribution to the defeat of German fascism and gave their lives in this fight", – stated in the message of the Embassy in Facebook.
