A 26-year-old was seriously injured by an electric shock at the train station in Schwarzenbek (district of HerzogtumLauenburg).

As the “Bild” newspaper reports, it should have been a bachelor party. The police said on Sunday that the man had climbed onto a parked freight train on Saturday evening. According to the police, a so-called arcing flashover occurred on the overhead line. Around 15,000 volts are said to have run through the man’s body.

The 26-year-old fell off the train with serious injuries and had to be resuscitated, according to the police. He was then taken to a hospital in a rescue helicopter.

It is not yet clear why the man climbed onto the train.
