This, of course, applies to the Far East. In the meantime, the performance of the industry in the macro-region is not particularly encouraging. Last year the district was visited by 7.5 million tourists, of which 6,4 – Russians. A large part of the five million – visited the Primorsky Krai, more than 500 thousand persons in Khabarovsk, a little less – in the Amur region and the Republic of Buryatia. This year, according to tour operators, the demand for such travel will be much less.

According to experts, today, the industry faces two major problems. The first information uncertainty. Each region decides on the timing of lifting the restrictive measures. Tourism is a sphere with a certain depth planning and programming sales. In may it was announced that from June 1 will increase the number of flights to the resorts of the South of Russia, in Moscow and other cities. But the regions have extended the regime of self-isolation, respectively, of the airline flight frequency increased.

the Second issue is transportation costs. Flights from Central Russia to the far East is not so cheap. It is important to consider that people usually come not at three days, at least for a week – they want to visit at least two regions, and even more. Therefore, a great role plays also the cost of transportation within the County – and she still bites…

As to lure the visitor to the far East, “RG” learn from the experts.

Elena Ustimenko, acting Director of the Vladivostok travel and excursions:

– not Yet open borders, people will go for the Primorye territory, but without much enthusiasm. For many services and infrastructure are a priority. It is hoped that domestic tourism will be on the rails soon. Then travel to the Western regions via Moscow to win will be those who informed the refund of tickets chose the vouchers, not money. When will open the border, it will give preference to the same Thailand, Vietnam, and Japan. The main argument for this choice is the fact that in these countries the number of reported cases of coronavirus infection is much less than in Europe.

Vladimir Solodov, acting Governor of the Kamchatka Krai:

– the Cost of air travel between the subjects of the far Eastern Federal district remains high. For comparison: a ticket from Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky to Moscow and back costs about 25 thousand rubles, and from Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky to Vladivostok and back – no less than 22 thousand. This price not only stimulates the development of tourism within DFO, but does not establish a steady flow of tourists between regions. It is therefore necessary to introduce a system of flat fares on the Far East, which will improve transport accessibility of the macro region. We invite carriers to simplify the requirements for booking of tickets by travel agencies that will allow local Fimom to sell tickets that already include the cost of travel.

Yelena Isayeva, Manager of the Sakhalin travel company:

In my opinion, the Far East regions do not have enough broad information support of the authorities. Need advertising similar to the one that is at the resorts of Krasnodar region. The island of Sakhalin, the Kuril Islands – in recent years about them began to say more, but it is still not enough. Sounds of the ski complex “Mountain air”, but that the Russians heard of Busse lake, an imposing headland Velikan, falls Ichor? In the region of tens, if not hundreds, of these wonders of nature, about which one can talk. I think you need a good advertising campaign on the part of the island authorities, then people will go.

Another moment. Do not develop new trails – ecological, historical, tour, for lovers of extreme sports. But they could be very popular. It is a vicious circle – there is no special demand because there is no advertising and offers.

Evgeniya Klimova, a resident of Khabarovsk:

I never spend my vacation at home. Traveled to Europe, USA, and recently discovered Japan in autumn was there the second time. Many Japanese, by the way, know and love Khabarovsk – for them it is a purely European city. They admire the architecture, wide streets, they like Russian cuisine. But what’s good for the Japanese, a local resident familiar, the beauty of the cities it is unlikely to tempt. But outside the cities? Know that in our region there is something to see: lake Amut, Amur poles, Khekhtsir… But getting there is long, tedious and expensive. No infrastructure: traveling five hours on a dirt road, two more go on foot to the target, the hours look and leave. It is suitable only for young and energetic people. Need Turkestani not to go the long way for one object, and to see several, and yet rest in place.

In Primorye, in the past few years consistently and for the most part at the expense of foreign guests, the number of tourists grew, decided to change priorities. In the province launched a campaign to attract young tourists from the neighboring regions of the Far East, where the conditions for a summer vacation worse.

They are invited as soon as the epidemic situation is normalized, to meet the sea, the unique nature of the region, sample local cuisine and engage in active types of leisure – stand-up paddle classes, snorkeling, cliff and scuba diving. You can live on camp sites on the coast or in budget hostels – enough of them in Vladivostok.

– We have relied on youth as the most easy going part of the society. In this regard, the planned information campaign in social networks Facebook and Instagram, and is popular with young people online TikTok. Placed first content program, has removed advertisementsfirst roller, – says Director of the Tourist information centre Daria Guseva.

Another project which may be interested in young people, called “Sea of love”, its mission is to promote Vladivostok as a place for romantic vacation.

– Consider this: people will be able to come here in the pre – and postsvideo travel to beautiful photo shoots. The planned creation of a booklet with General information about the opportunities of this holiday. It will include, in addition to traditional ideas, offers rental vehicles, the services of makeup artists, photographers, rental ballroom dresses, filming at various locations of recreation facilities, – says the head of Agency on tourism of the Primorsky territory Vladimir Shchur.
