First place went to Tatiana Batova with the project “Laboratory of the Arctic design.” It is entitled to a grant in the amount of 382 thousand rubles. The gist of it project – search for “visual local identity” of the Arctic. We are talking about the design of the tableware, décor, interior items and life. It assumes a competition among local artists, exhibition of the best works and the publication of a catalogue. The words of Tatiana, the goal of the laboratory is “to find specific regional design.”

a Grant in the amount of 400 thousand rubles, and second place went to the young sculptor to Alexander the Lame project “Oceans”. He intends to create an art object in the form of crossed tails whale out of steel and set it in the current September on the sea, in Teriberka, which has become one of the main tourist attractions of the Arctic.

– I am considering two options for the sculpture, – says Alexander. – You can use modules from stainless steel and each year is different of paint. Or make the welded openwork design of metal bars.

Third place and a grant for 255 thousand rubles – Nikolay Mikhaylenko. His project “Poetry of the day” is dedicated to the development and promotion of creativity of young poets in the region. The result will be the release of a collection of poems by the participants to the end of the year.

Fourth place and grant 123 thousand was awarded to the project of artist sand animation Lyudmila Semenova “Tales of snow”. With the participation of the ethnic music band “Atma” she plans to create a series of visual music compositions based on fairy tales, myths and legends of the peoples of the North. Live performances at venues of the region will take place from September to December.

According to the Minister of culture Murmansk region Evgeny Goman, funds will be transferred to the winners in the coming days.
