head coach of the national team of Russia on football Stanislav Cherchesov has extended his contract with the Russian football Union (RFU) until December 30, 2022.
Specialist led the national team in the summer of 2016 after the European championship in France, succeeding Leonid Slutsky.
Under his leadership, the team reached the quarter-finals of a home world Cup 2018 ahead of schedule and made it to the final of Euro 2020.
Stanislav Cherchesov has extended his contract with the Russian team. The agreement is until December 30, 2022.

After the 2018 world Cup and Cherchesov has been contracted under the scheme “2+2”. In November last year, the head of the RFU Alexander Dyukov said that the coach had made a proposal for a new contract, which is pending.
