There was wrinkled øjebryn interchangeably in 2005, when Thomas Gravesen moved to the mighty Real Madrid.

The then-29-year-old footballer joined a club with stars such as Zinedine Zidane, David Beckham, Ronaldo, Robinho, Iker Casillas, Roberto Carlos, Luis Figo, Raul and Michael Owen.

But Gravesens stay in kongeklubben went not quite according to plan. At least not if you ask the Madrid newspaper AS, who have placed the dane on the list of Real Madrid’s most disappointing purchases ever.

in Fact, ended the Danish midfielder to be a player who was made fun of in many contexts.

“He goes over in Madrid-the story of a feint, which is called gravesinha: With a hot temper drags himself along the track, while he shows his buds to the opponent, who jumps to avoid a collision, and then gets the team the ball,” writes AS in an ironic tone.

“He was in the club for one and a half years: He left the club after a tussle with Robinho in the pre-season.”

Other stars like Nicolas Anelka, Jonathan Woodgate, Royston Drenthe, Kaka and 90’s-the talent of Robert Prosinecki has also found its way to the list.

Thomas Gravesen moved to Real Madrid from January 2005 from the English Everton. In august 2006 he left the club again, this time to switch to Celtic Glasgow.
