Son of Ratko Mladic has denied reports about his death

media Reports about the death of the former commander of the army of the Serbs of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Ratko Mladic is not true, said the General’s son, Darko Mladic.

“We talked on the phone with him 45 minutes ago. He sounded perfectly normal. At 14:00 (16:00 GMT) came to him a lawyer. No one called us from the Tribunal to give such information,” said he TASS.

Minister of foreign Affairs of Serbia Ivica dačić also of not confirmed information about the death of Ratko Mladic.

In November 2017 the Hague Tribunal for the former Yugoslavia recognized Ratko Mladic responsible for genocide of Bosnian Muslims in Srebrenica in 1995 and in violation of the laws or customs of war in Bosnia and Herzegovina in 1992-1995. On this basis, mladić was sentenced to life imprisonment.

In February 2020 became aware of a sharp deterioration in the health of the General. Attorney Dragan Ivetic then warned that Ratko Mladic could die, and insisted on his immediate hospitalization.
