The construction of a new outbound motorway, Prospekt Generala Dorokhova, will be completed in 2020. This was announced by the mayor of Moscow Sergey Sobyanin.

The mayor inspected the facility and recalled that work was resumed after a pandemic coronavirus. The new route connects the Third transport ring (TTK) and MKAD.

"Two-thirds of the pipeline already built and running. Remained a relatively small piece – about 6 miles, but it is quite complex, with a large removal of utilities, facilities, and so on. We planned to start at the end of next year. Can be able to the year before to run the object", – said the mayor.

According to Sobyanin, work also continues on the North-Eastern Expressway on the southern bypass. In General, for 2020 must be built 96 kilometers of roads, 22 artificial structures for different purposes, and will be equipped with more than 20 pedestrian crossings.

Prospekt Generala Dorokhova will run from the interchange at the MKAD to the Third transport ring between the Kutuzovsky, and the Michurinsk prospectus. The total length of the new route will amount to 27.4 kilometer. It will be six lanes in each direction.

The third section of the road where now there are works, runs between the street and the Minsk ring road. It is planned to form the main course of the route, side roads, ramps, and access roads. In the area of the overpass-Congress will also install noise screens.

The first section of Prospekt Generala Dorokhova, including a traffic interchange on the ring road and the main course of highway from MKAD to aminyevskoye motorway, opened in September 2019. The movement to Minsk streets on the second part of the route – launched in January 2020.
