From July 3, the Slovenian authorities will close the borders for foreigners arriving from the “red list” of countries with a severe epidemiological situation, which includes Russia. This is reported on the website of the Government of the republic.
Thus, the new restrictions on visiting a European country will affect all citizens without a Slovenian residence permit, including those who have been vaccinated. It is specified that Slovenian residents and holders of a residence permit arriving from the “red list” states will be obliged to undergo a ten-day quarantine upon arrival.
In addition, it is known that the list of territories with a severe epidemiological situation includes more than 40 states, including Russia, Turkey, Ireland, Argentina, Brazil and the United Kingdom.
Earlier in June, Slovenia announced the end of the coronavirus epidemic in the country. The Ministry of Health of the country stressed that, despite this, some restrictions will continue to apply.
On February 12, the Slovenian government announced the opening of borders in a test mode for citizens from the Schengen countries and the “red list” countries, including Russia. Thus, tourists could enter the territory of the state only if there was a negative result of a PCR test made no more than 48 hours before the trip. The test must be performed in one of the laboratories approved by the Slovenian Ministry of Health.
