Microsoft announced that combines Skype for Windows 10 and Skype for desktop in one system. This will allow the company not to focus on the development of different versions and to speed up the updates.
Starting in June 2020, 10 Skype for Windows and Skype for desktop is one, so we can ensure a uniform development. This allows us to provide the latest updates and improvements regardless of the source from which the application is installed – Support Skype.
The new app will be called Skype for Windows 10. At the moment it adds a number of improvements that relate to both work and display. From interesting features we note the function of share files directly from file Explorer, video chats of up to nine people, changing backgrounds and so on.
With the app removed exchange chat messages using the “Share” button and sync your contacts list with Outlook. Perhaps in the future they will return.
