it is Assumed that the first insurance program will be launched in 2020.

the Law on insurance of housing from emergency in force since August 4, 2019. It gives regional authorities the right to approve the insurance program for the organization of compensation of damage caused to the accommodation of the citizens. The fee for the insurance, the region will be able to turn in receipts for utility services. Citizens insured housing and lost it in the disaster, will receive either a new housing or compensation money. Currently, the regional authorities solve a question on the development of programs of home insurance.

This approach and subsidization of insurance from the Federal budget will significantly reduce the cost of insurance: if the normal policy of voluntary insurance of habitation for a standard apartment costs about 5-7 thousand rubles a year, the insurance agencies, a regional programme (we are talking about homeowners insurance from loss or damage from the disaster, as well as other risks – fire, explosion, water damage, etc.) will be onto shoditsya, roughly, about 150-200 rubles per month or 1800-2400 rubles per year, said President VSS Igor Yurgens. “The minimum set of risks — insurance exclusively from CHS and is estimated to cost on average 350-450 rubles per year”, — he said.
